We proudly use Wander Collective Hair Co., Melissa’s extension line created from more than 25 years of experience behind the chair. With a wide range of colors, textures, lengths and application methods, we can create a result that feels truly customized.

Every new installation includes the hair, the application and a customized blend cut. The pricing below reflects our standard recommendation, typically based on approximately 100 grams of hair per row for generous fullness and a seamless result.
Because every client’s hair, goals and budget are different, every installation can be customized. During your consultation, we may adjust the length or recommend 60, 80 or 100 grams per row to create the best result for your natural hair while keeping your investment at a level that feels comfortable.
We will walk you through each option and create a personalized plan to help you achieve beautiful hair within your desired budget.

During your complimentary consultation, we discuss your hair goals, natural density, lifestyle and budget. We’ll also color-match your hair and assess the best options for you.

Together we select your method, length, color and amount of hair. Whether you need 60, 80 or 100 grams per row, your plan and pricing are customized specifically for you.
03 · Install + blend
Your extensions are carefully installed, cut, blended and styled for a seamless finish. Installation time varies depending on your chosen method and desired result.
04 · Maintain
We’ll teach you how to care for your extensions at home and recommend a maintenance schedule based on your method, natural hair and lifestyle.

How long do hand-tied extensions last?
The hair itself typically lasts 9 to 12 months with proper care. What needs regular attention is the move-up — the rows get re-tightened every 6 to 8 weeks as your natural hair grows.
Will extensions damage my hair?
Installed and maintained correctly, hand-tied wefts are one of the gentler methods because the weight is distributed across a beaded row rather than concentrated on individual strands. Damage almost always comes from skipping move-ups or removing them at home.
How much do hair extensions cost in Nashville?
At Sweet Melissa Salon a new hand-tied install starts at $950 for one row of 16 inch hair and runs to $2,400 for two rows of 24 inch. Pricing includes the hair, the install, and the blend cut. Move-ups start at $200.
How many rows do I need?
Most clients wanting length only need one row. Two rows are for clients who want noticeable added fullness as well as length. We'll tell you which one you actually need at the consultation.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, for new installs. We need to see your hair in person to color-match, check the density at your nape, and order the right hair. Consultations are free and take about 20 minutes.
How do I wash and sleep in them?
Wash two to three times a week with a sulfate-free shampoo, keep conditioner off the beads, dry the rows fully, and sleep with your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail. We walk you through all of it at your install.
